Supermarkets target customers with food stamps

Forget upscale buyers. Supermarkets are aiming their hours and product mix at those with food stamps, featuring bulk sales early in the month.

Food stamp are a $55 billion market. It’s certainly a bad omen that supermarkets, at least the low- and mid- range stores, want those with food stamps. if the economy doesn’t improve many more will suffer and Obama might not get reelected.

    Hmm… You equating people suffering with Obama losing in 2013? And do you really think anything short of Great Recession Double-dip keeps Obama from re-election?
