The accused Fort Hood plotter had a bomb making recipe from Al Qaeda magazine and yelled “Nidal Hasan” in court. (Hasan is accused of killing 13 people at Fort Hood in 2009.)
He was arrested for possession of child porn before being released as a CO and then went AWOL. He was caught with ample bomb making supplies and an How-to article. Truly, making bombs is totally consistent with abhorring violence and being a CO. Totally.
This guy sounds as deranged as Breivik in Norway. Extremist ideologies do indeed attract potentially unhinged loners.
