Allowable radiation limits raised at Fukushima schools

The limit was raised from 1 millisievert a year to 20, which is the maximum annual dose allowed for nuclear workers in Germany but apparently just fine for Japanese regulators who, I’m guessing, don’t have their children in those schools.

Ministers have defended the increase in the acceptable safety level from 1 to 20 millisieverts per year as a necessary measure to guarantee the education of hundreds of thousands of children in Fukushima.

I’m speechless. Orwellian, isn’t it? The Ministry of Propaganda, in its everlasting service to the people, has decreed that radiation is harmless and happy students can now return to school.
