Gun that killed US agent in Mexico was smuggled in with ATF permission

You read that headline right. ATF has been monitoring gun purchases in the US and allowing assault weapons to be smuggled into Mexico, supposedly so they could track them (inquiring minds want to know if this policy instead was due to massive corruption within ATF, what better way to smuggle in weapons than via law enforcement.)

Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered recently in Mexico. CBS says the murder weapon was a gun that ATF allowed to be smuggled into Mexico.

Everyone at ATF even remotely involved with deliberate arming of drug cartels needs to be immediately fired then arrested for felony murder. There should also be an immediate investigation in ATF for corruption and complicity with the drug cartels. I simply do not believe the US government explanation that this was done to trap a cartel.

And now a US agent is dead because of it.
