US exempts mercenaries from war crimes prosecution in UN measure

African mercenaries hired by the Gaddafi regime to kill Libyan protesters would be immune from prosecution for war crimes due to a clause in this weekend’s UN resolution that was demanded by the United States.

This was done to protect mercenaries hired by the US in other conflicts from prosecution. So much for justice, so much for any moral high ground the US might have gotten in Libya. Because it’s apparently a-ok with the Obama Administration if mercenaries hired by Qadaffi murder peaceful protesters because that protects similar thugs hired by the US in other countries.

This just makes me so goldarned proud to be an American. How about you?

  1. But he said peaceful like they weren’t causing bodily harm and property damage, not saying they deserved to be murdered but saying they were peaceful was a blatant lie. I approve of murder and letting murders get away with murder but it is still morally wrong.
