Prefab modular housing for $100/sq ft

ASUL Adaptable Systems is debuting their steel-framed prefab homes at Dwell on Design next week in L.A. Choose from ten room sizes, three ceiling heights, and pre-designed kitchens and bathrooms, and configure your own house. They ship the parts and you can build it yourself or have them do it

maybe 100k for just the materials for a 1000sf house ($100/sq ft times 1000 sq/ft home = 100k) is a deal in CA. add in the land and labor to assemble and that is going to be one expensive pre fab!

I know someone who recently bought a fairly new 2400sf duplex for $134K. It’s fully constructed, no assembly required, and includes the land.
