Why it was just a few days ago the feds and BP were howling at scientists who dared make such a preposterous estimate.
What I don’t get is why all the stonewalling on the size of the spill? This isn’t some DC scandal they can try to bury with a PR push and behind the scenes arm-twisting. Nope, this one is right out in the open. Blorp, that’s the sound of more oil washing up on beaches. That’s just not something you can hide. So why are they trying to?
