100% renewables ‘feasible by 2050’ in EU

A report by the European Renewable Energy Council says the EU going completely renewable energy by 2050 is both economically doable and environmentally desirable. Energy will come from solar, wind, as well as geothermal and biomass. Biofuel and EVs will be used increasingly for transportation.

EREC stressed that the technologies required to achieve a 100% renewables scenario are already available and it is simply a matter of finding the political will to make it happen.
