One solution? Let the women in

Negating women is at the heart of the church’s hideous — and criminal — indifference to the welfare of boys and girls in its priests’ care. Lisa Miller writes in Newsweek’s cover story about the danger of continuing to marginalize women in a disgraced church that has Mary at the center of its founding story:

“In the Roman Catholic corporation, the senior executives live and work, as they have for a thousand years, eschewing not just marriage, but intimacy with women … not to mention any chance to familiarize themselves with the earthy, primal messiness of families and children.” No wonder that, having closed themselves off from women and everything maternal, they treated children as collateral damage, a necessary sacrifice to save face for Mother Church.

Take Maurine Behrend as an example — it took a married woman, who would not tolerate the church hierarchy allowing Kiesle to have access to children, to finally put a stop to it. In the 18 pages of church documents, her outraged letter to the Bishop contains the only sane statements.

How are we supposed to have confidence in the system, when nothing is done? A simple phone call to the pastor from the bishop is all that it would take: ‘We do not allow convicted child molesters to work with children in this diocese.’

  1. Everything about The Church, from its inception in response to predecessors today known derisively as ‘fertility cults’ to the first page of its dawg-damned books to white up-standing middle-class fathers diddling their daughters… and preachers diddling little boys, is about the subjugation of women. Sure, sure, sure… the subjugation of all others … women. The subjugation of knowledge, of medicine, literature, and… women.

The paterno mono-theistic cult – the jew/catholic-christian/muslim cult – at best a milleaus old pinko fascist faggot plot to usurp the awe and reverence held of pre-‘historic’ women, at worst a milleaus old plot to re-write the history and establish a rag-tag band of inbred Bedouin outcasts as rulers of the world, is nothing more than an exercise in population control – qualitative control, not quantitative. Breed-stock, domestic animals. Opiate of the subjugated, >i>domesticated, masses.

And… knowing all that I know, having seen all that I have seen, there is the very real possibility The Church is simply evil. Pure unadulterated evil. The Anti-Christ, Instrument of Satan. WTFever. If we don’t stop squabbling ore whose imaginary dog has the bigger red rocket, we very well not survive another milleau.

You don’t want more women in, you want to get the women out, they carry the seeds of the future… and then destroy The Church. Burn it down, burn it to the ground.

    Don’t let the preachers out.

  2. Fr. Tissa Balasooriya, a Sri Lankan priest, taught that Mary was the first woman priest– thus setting a precedent for female leadership in the Church. (BTW, a close reading of Acts and Paul show that there *were* women apostles. But priests weren’t invented until later.)

Balasooriya was excommunicated for his “heresy.” By the man who is now Pope.
