But I still think The Nation Magazine Platinum Visa Card, which is apparently a real thing, is a hilarious oxymoron.

What better way is there to say “I am a progressive magazine” than by tacitly supporting usurious interest rates and the banksters as well.

The card has no interest for six months, then starts at 11.15% for purchases, with a penalty rate currently at 21.75%. I bet those rates are for those with high FICOs only. Only in our current larcenous era would that be described as “a low variable APR.” If inflation comes back, those rates will soar too.
