Census Bureau severs ties with ACORN, second damaging tape surfaces

The Census Director has sent a letter to the National Headquarters of ACORN notifying the group that it will no longer have a role in conducting the 2010 census.

This sends a clear signal to the business, nonprofit, and charitable organizations who have funded ACORN that the US government will no longer be doing so. ACORN is about to get drop-kicked off a cliff. And rightfully so.

Two more ACORN workers were fired Friday after a second video surfaced, this time showing staff members in the community organizers’ Washington office offering to help the undercover man and woman acquire illegal home loans that would help them set up a brothel.

This is from a different ACORN office than the first tape. Thus, their advising people to commit felonies is not an isolated incident. What I don’t get is why people went to ACORN to get tax advice and what was in it for ACORN to advise people to evade the law.

This does not seem like just a few rogue employees with incompetent management, but more like a continuing criminal enterprise.
