I just got a Nesco coffee roaster from Sweet Marias, where I also order green coffee beans for roasting. It replaces my two Fresh Roast Plus 8 roasters. (One was aging, the other one never really worked right. Plus it has a low capacity.)
The Nesco roasts five ounces at a time, taking substantial time to do so, anywhere from 25-30 minutes. However the roast is even, the process dead simple and, added bonus, it is quiet with very little smoke. I like it.
Coffee from fresh roasted beans is way better than any store-bought beans. Plus, green coffee beans cost $5-6 a pound, so the price of a roaster pays for itself quickly.
