Marc Dreier rethinking that Greed is Good philosophy

Dreier had been earning about $400,000 a year before committing his crimes, and that he told court investigators he had been “dissatisfied” with his life and envious of others “who had achieved greater success.”

Prosecutors are recommending Dreier get 145 years at his sentencing on Monday for selling $700 million of fake promissory notes and stealing $46 million from clients. Because $400,000 a year with big perks as well as the prestige of running a major law firm just isn’t enough.
