North Alabama man helping provide safe forum for Iranian voices

Days of protesting in Iran over allegations of fraud in the presidential election have made headlines around the world.

Here in North Alabama, one man is making sure every Iranian citizen has the opportunity to be heard.

That would be UJ, who comments and posts here too.

These headlines that have made their way across the globe to a little comic book shop in Madison, where with a computer and a passion, 25-year-old Joshua Mull gives everyday Iranian citizens a voice– through the website: www.aliveintehran.org.

“It’s the people on the ground, that, they don’t have news agencies, they have a telephone, they have Twitter, they have e-mail and that’s the only way they can get their message out,” said Mull, who manages Haven Comics as his day job.
