Shell making ethanol from straw

Shell says this is the first commercial delivery of cellulosic ethanol from a gas station. Cellulosic ethanol has the potential to be huge, as there is plenty of feedstock for it that is currently just being burned or dumped in landfills.

Plus, as the diagram shows, Shell’s process creates electricity as well as ethanol.
