The Topanga Banjo Fiddle Contest has been held since 1961 and features Bluegrass, Folk, Old Time music and more on Paramount Ranch, which is often used as a wild west set.. There are plenty of performers onstage, but everyone also just wanders around playing, like in this picture. They were singing “20 naked Pentecostals in a Pontiac,” a Chris Stuart song based on a true story!

Another crowd-pleaser went “If I’d shot you sooner, I’d be a free man now.”

And a happy, relaxed, fun time was had by all. Genuinely.
