By all accounts the mighty tea bag protests today, hugely promoted by Fox News and right wing astro-turf front groups, were a flop. Crowds were way less than most mass nationwide protests get. Given the huge amount of free publicity they got, I’m thinking a bunch of stoned teenage anarchists might have organized it better and drawn larger crowds than the tepid tea baggers did.
In DC, where the major protest should have been, they got shut down by security because they didn’t have a permit. How inept is that?
