Jon Stewart rips Jim Cramer again

Cramer complained after Stewart’s last commentary on him, saying he didn’t say buy Bear Stearns shortly before it died. But Cramer should have checked what he said on his own shows first. Because Stewart sure did. And rips Cramer a new one. It’s hilarious too.

The deeper point here is that financial reporting, especially on cable networks, tends to be uncritical. They virtually never grill a CEO and ask hardball questions. Instead, they are too often just unquestioning and compliant cheerleaders for the stock market.
