The pride and glory of the British Empire recalls their ordeal: “They were “stripped and dressed in pajamas … we were kept in stone cells, approximately 8 feet by six, sleeping on piles of blankets. All of us were kept in isolation.” Now that is much worse than Guantanamo, don’t you think?

I suspect Bob was being sarcastic. Ir sounds exactly like Guantanamo.
