Gibson’s newest ‘Lethal Weapon’ — his mouth

Among other things, the drunken Mel Gibson said to a female sergeant, “What you looking at, sugar tits?”

To make matters even worse, Gibson allegedly had some kind of a fit about Jews during the arresting process.

“The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world,” Gibson is said to have opined, asking the arresting deputy: “Are you a Jew?”

This guy needs help. He sees one flashing red light and thinks the Jews are after him.

He’s also a holocaust denier. Not as lunatic as his father, but certainly still in the same vicinity.

Jewish groups call for hate-crime probe on Mel Gibson.

Disney currently has a development deal with Gibson for him to do a mini-series about the Holocaust. Once assumes they will be moving quickly to torpedo the deal and throw Gibson overboard. Why, given his known reputation for being a Holocaust denier, did they ever do the deal with him in the first place? Oh, greed and money, silly me.

  1. I do not consider myself a Holocaust denier by any means, I have Jewish friends that I love deeply (I want to make that clear first and foremost). But for example, when they call Mel Gibson a Holocaust denier because he acknowledges the concentration camps and the deaths that occurred during WWII but *not* that the Jews were the only ones singled out is just a load of racist bullcrap!

Probably as many gypsies were singled out as part of the Nazi Final Solution, yet few people care to mention that. If I said that Jews were NOT the only ethnic race singled out for extermination, does that make me a Holocaust Denier? I AM acknowledging that the Holocaust happened, but I also acknowledge that it was part of a bigger plan that included so many other races.

Had Gibson remarks been anti-islamic, would they have received as much condemnation? I’d say about 90% as much. I do believe that the Jewish Holocaust was the biggest most disgusting atrocity in the 20th century but hatred of jews is just as evil as hatred of blacks, of Muslims, of whites, or Puerto Ricans such as myself. And I do believe that anti-jewish remarks are viewed by society as being more evil and it is just as sad and racist as the remark itself.

On Gibson himself, all I have to say is that if it is proven that he did indeed made such remarks, may he be treated with the same kind of scorn as any other racist would.

The percentage may have been the same (I don’t know if that’s true, I’m not looking it up), but the absolute numbers aren’t even close (the number of gypsies killed was in the hundreds of thousands).

If I said that Jews were NOT the only ethnic race singled out for extermination, does that make me a Holocaust Denier?

No, but if you distort the facts, then it makes you lose your credibility. Here’s an old post of mine on the subject of the Holocaust, with links to actual numbers.

  3. Ok, maybe they weren’t as many gypsies killed as Jews and I apologize for that if it seemed as if though I was implying that the deaths of either group was insignificant.

BUT, my point really is that crying out loud that a person is nothing but a racist pig because they mention the deaths of millions, including both Jews and otherwise, is in itself racist and is [ok, I don’t know exactly what the correct English expression here is, so I’ll shamelessly translate directly from Spanish] ‘loading the subject’. That was my point exactly, that one of the links accussing Gibson of being a Holocaust denier/racist comes to that conclusion because of his inclusion of other ethnic groups in the Holocaust.

After what transpired this weekend I might believe even more that he could be a racist or a Holocaust denier, but not because the assertions made on the linked post.
