The Senate voted overwhelmingly for the noxious PATRIOT Act. Thousands died in New Orleans as an inept government stood by, uncaring. Countries are invaded based on lies.
These events are not isolated from each other. All the causes are linked. Speakers and participants in the March 18 nationwide antiwar protests will make these links clear. The same system that wants to spy on citizens, torture noncombatants, and shred civil rights is the same system that invades other countries for empire and oil.
Stand up and say NO to them. People in other countries have done the same – and been victorious – under far worse circumstances. Now it’s our turn. We can do it!
