As deputy prime minister John Prescott confessed, Labour was given a serious kicking by voters who delivered it the worst election result in living memory.
The same will happen to Dubya in November. Yes, things will get very nasty, all manner of dirty tricks will be played, but in the end, Bush will lose. Kerry is no gem, however a Bush loss would be a huge victory for progressives, would be the end of the neocons, and the end of the Bush empire. There will be dancing in the streets when it happens.
