L.A Times poll shows Bustamante way ahead of Schwarzenegger
Cruz has 35% followed by Arnold at 22%.
Other mainstream Republicans include McClintock at 12%, Ueberroth 7%, and Simon (who just dropped out) 6%. So, technically, if they all dropped out, Schwarzenneger might pull ahead, however Ueberroth’s support is bi-partisan, and McClintock is the hard right candidate, I doubt he’ll withdraw.
I think people are seeing just how empty-headed Arnold’s campaign is. Combine that with his support of the anti-immigrant Prop 187, and you get an energized Latino electorate voting for Cruz.
