Bush recently said, in reaction to Iraqi attacks, “Bring ’em on”.
No one can recall another US President stupid and reckless enough to dare an attack on US troops. It sounds like a drunken frat boy challenging another fraternity, rather than an allegedly mature man.
So, the Iraqi opposition obliged, and eight US troops were wounded.
“Resistance fighters have wounded eight U.S. soldiers in three attacks on occupation forces in Iraq, a day after President George W. Bush said there were enough troops in Iraq to deal with the guerrillas.“
Meanwhile, the polls are turning against Bush.
“The unsettled postwar situation looms as a potential long-term political threat for the president, some analysts believe.”
