The image to the left, from sf.indymedia.org, shows the mood among those in S.F. who are participating in the demos and direct action. S.F. has a long history of political activism, going back at least to the 1930’s when a longshoremans strike shut down the city. Political action is in the DNA of the city.
Anothe major S.F. site is Direct Action Against the War, the coalition that is organizing much of the current street protests.
S.F. will have another march today, as will many other cities across the country.
