Louis Freeh: Bill Clinton killed Khobar Towers prosecution for money

Ex FBI-head Louis Freeh says then president Bill Clinton blocked an investigation into the Khobar Towers bombing in return for Saudi contributions to the planned Clinton Presidential Library. The FBI wanted to talk to Saudi suspects who had been arrested. The Saudis refused. Clinton spoke to them.

“Bill Clinton raised the subject only to tell the crown prince that he understood the Saudi’s reluctance to cooperate, and then he hit Abdullah up for a contribution to the Clinton Presidential Library.”

“That’s a fact that I’m reporting,” says Freeh.

A Clinton spokesperson said “The assertion that he asked the Saudis for funding for his library while he was president is absolutely false.” This is evasion, not a denial. The direct appeal for money could have happened after Clinton left office.
