Watching Tuli Kupferberg in the video cavorting around the streets of NYC in the 1960’s with a gun sadly shows how humorless, rigid, and repressive our country has become. A lighthearted piece of street theatre like that would be greeted now by NYPD with SWAT teams and he’d probably get arrested because he must be a terrorist if they didn’t just shoot him.
