I just posted on Not The Singularity that “chief spokesperson for the War Pigs branch of the Democratic Party Bill Clinton” was pounding the war drums to have a jolly little war in Syria and that Obama may well have asked him to do so.
Looks like I was right. Steve Hynd just said on Facebook:
The White House just announced a 5PM conference call on Syria for journalists, according to me Twitter stream. Several saying they expect to be told Obama has decided to arm the rebels. Excuse my cynicism, but that’d be a sure-fire way to knock Snowden/NSA off the top of the news cycle.
