Flamin’ Groovies reunion live, only US show, SF May 4

FlaminGroovies_Flamingo

The Flamin’ Groovies released several albums in the 1970’s that in the view of me and many others were some of the best rock and roll anyone has done. They never did achieve more than cult status even though they certainly deserved it. However, lots of people noticed them though and they influenced many bands. Now three of the original members will do a one-time only show in San Francisco.

Wiki

The group have been called one of the forerunners of punk rock, and they also had a major influence on the power pop genre.

From the Facebook announcement

THE FLAMIN’ GROOVIES, feat. Cyril Jordan, Chris Wilson, and George Alexander reunite for the first time in many years to rock your socks off!

This will be their only U.S. appearance! Do NOT miss this show! There will be no more shows booked at this time.

SPECIAL EARLY SHOW! Doors at 5:00pm. Live music at 5:30.
