Creating a kitchen island from an old table

kitchen-island

This is version 1.0 of a work in progress. Sue took an old table, handcrafted about 100 years ago, fastened plywood with casters on the bottom to the legs, raising it six inches. Now we have a nice kitchen island.

Yet to come, matching the plywood color to the table, installing slidable drawers on the plywood, and putting a caster on the fifth leg.. This was entirely Sue’s creation and she did the work. I’m the computer geek. She owns the power tools. 🙂
