Oscar Pistorius defense borders on absurd

“I fail to understand how I could be charged with murder, let alone premeditated. I had no intention to kill my girlfriend,” said Oscar Pistorius, who strapped on prosthetic legs, walked to the bathroom, and fired through the door at Steenkamp, a tragic mistake that anyone could make, don’t you think?

If he wasn’t famous, would anyone actually believe or care about such a feeble defense? Dunno about you, but I’m tired of athletes presented as role models for us to idolize who turn out to be protected, pampered sociopaths.

“protected, pampered sociopaths.” as well as being grossly over paid and in a large number of cases, on “stuff” to try to cheat their fellow competitors and the paying public. It’s all part of the cult
of the personality, the celebrity culture, it makes money and that’s what it is all about. If you swallow and follow what the mass media spews out you deserve to get duped.
