There is too much money to be made from guns and gun culture, the consequences are irrelevant.
It’s no coincidence that the US is also the biggest arms dealer on the planet.
Some of us are trying our best to live an inclusive life that would help prevent events like this from happening… but we live in a culture of exclusionism, us vs. them. There are not enough of us yet. Exclusionism still prevails.
