Sue and I briefly explored the Sacramento Delta last weekend and will be back. It’s an amazing place, and of course, it is the focus of the California water wars. Central Valley agriculture and southern California want the Delta’s water.
This photo is from Sherman Island looking at wind turbines on another island. It’s a perfect location for wind turbines. The area is windy and massive transmission lines were already on the islands. The location for wind farms often depends on the availability of transmission lines and in this case, the transmission lines were already there.
