Christie impresses me as being a straight-shooter, no-bullshit guy. He may well assume that Romney will lose. His blunt comments about not caring if Romney comes to his state and his blasting the mayor of Atlantic City for telling residents not to evacuate show a governor genuinely concerned about helping his state recover from Hurricane Sandy and not interested in the usual political evasion and spin. We need more like him.
Widespread perception that Obama is doing a good job in response to Sandy, fueled by gushing praise from Christie may be enough to tip Virginia into the Obama column, and the election right with it.
