That’s me before the Parowan Half Marathon this morning . No enormously speedy time but 25 minutes faster than last year. The race starts at 8200 ft elevation in Yankee Meadows and goes down a canyon road ending at 6000 feet elevation.
There were about 400 runner, twice as many as last year. The City of Parowan did a fine job organizing it.
Yes, my calves and thighs are complaining a teensy bit. Next half marathon in Sept. 9 in San Jose, elevation is 100 feet and the course is flat.
