DEA holds student handcuffed, no food or water for four days

He was picked up in a drug sweep, but never arrested or charged. The DEA issued an “apology” without mentioning his name and harrumphed this incident wasn’t up to their normal standards. The student, who nearly dies,is suing for $20 million.

The deprivation of food and water for four and one-half days while the person is handcuffed the entire time constitutes torture under both international and domestic law,” the claim said.

We continue our descent into being a Third World country. For justice to be served here, everyone involved needs to be fired and arrested. But given the incompetence and corruption of too much of our government, I bet no one will be.
