Inspired by Ten Bears’ excellent self-introduction and Bob’s blogging book review, here’s a bit of information about me:
I’m a native Californian, always a city dweller (who loved playing cowgirl), a self-educated college drop-out, an avid reader and a literal-minded generalist. In the past several years I’ve had the opportunity to spend quite a bit of time in France, which I find has strengthened my sense of identity as an American.
I’m an only child who had an only child and have an only grandchild–so I’m clueless about sibling rivalries.
I don’t own a television but I really miss my cable modem when I travel.
I’ve been incredibly fortunate in my life which has turned out far better than if I’d planned it.
I think Bob invited me to post here as a way to get me to stop sending him emails suggesting stories I thought belonged on his blog.
Oh yeah, I know which side I’m on.
My grandmother used to sing that around the house.
You sent great emails! That’s why I asked you to post.
