Using Google ads to drive traffic to a local business

We’ve all seen those ubiquitous Google ads that appear when you do a search. What you may not know is that the ads can be made to appear only if the searcher is in a specific geographic area.

This is precisely what locally based businesses need. I designed and built a site for AnnDunnViolin.com, who is based in Santa Monica CA. Google ads only appear within a few miles radius of her, as it would be pointless for them to appear elsewhere. Google charges per click-through on ads, so this cuts costs and greatly increases focus. If someone clicks-through, they are looking for a violin teacher and live near her.

She gets business from the website and Google ads. Let me know if I can help increase your business too.
