Where even the Sinaloa Cartel and Mexican Army won’t go

Even the locals don’t venture too far into mountains of Sonora. A drug trafficker by the name of El Gilo is there. The powerful Sinaloa Cartel went after him in 2010, was ambushed, and there were so many dead that police carried them out in bread trucks.

The small towns in the area are emptying out. There is no law, no police, no medics, no health clinics. Trucks no longer deliver in the area. Imagine trying to live there.
