Japan hospitals almost out of water and food

The BBC (live coverage) just spoke with a woman in a hospital in the quake area. She and her elderly mother were trapped in their home for three days with almost no food. Finally, she carried her mother on her back to a hospital.

The hospital has patients in the floor in the lobby and is very low on water and food.

Look, I know this is an ‘unimaginable disaster’ (as Steve Jobs put it) but how difficult is it to load up a helicopter with supplies and fly it to a hospital?
