Yes to all that, but I question your use of the word “even”.
His inaction is really quite astounding, isn’t it?
Are Rahm & Co that inept? I was disappointed at his appointment, but not because I thought he was incompetent.
The best approach I can think of now is to make it clear just how complicit Congress and Interior have been in creating the current situation, and admit that there are disasters for which there is no quick (or even medium-term) fix.
I wonder why the GW adaptionists aren’t advocating that we simply “adapt” to an oily Gulf.
(Or is that “adaptationists”? That’s better.)
