Hamsher and Greenwald respond to PAC story

Rogers Cadenhead continues his FireDogLake PAC funding probe.

The piece I wrote on Jane Hamsher’s PAC expenditures has drawn responses from both Hamsher and Glenn Greenwald, the cofounder of the Accountability Now PAC. They claim that I am engaged in “an attack meant to shut down fundraising” and “standard political cult behavior of trying to smear those who oppose the Leader.”

Methinks Hamsher and Greenwald doth protest too much. Or at least too early. Isn’t the standard procedure in cases like this to first ignore, then mock, before attacking? They seem extremely defensive.

Neither Hamsher nor Greenwald points out any specific errors of fact in the story, which reported what the FEC filings reveal about their PAC expenditures.
