What the governments of the world are negotiating is simply the continuation of the industrial machine in the face of global environmental change, but almost no public opposition.
Oh, there’s lots of blather about how We Need To Do Something… sometime, but not now.. Down the road a bit, the esteemed leaders of the world will again meet to consider possibilities and ramifications and will almost certainly do nothing. Again. Because action might hurt profits (oh the horror) besides everything is the fault of other countries.
A bunch of willful greedy children masquerading as world leaders continue to do as little as possible on climate change. Not much different from the banksters, are they? Their short-term goals and profits are what is all-important and screw everyone and everything else. Including the planet.
