A word to the Polanski apologists

From John Amato at C&L

I wasn’t going to comment on this story for obvious reasons, but since all these Polanski apologists are surfacing everywhere I just wanted to say: He drugged and raped a 13-year-old girl and then skipped town. Sorry, there’s no excusing that, ever.

I agree. Polanski’s artistic and film-making abilities have no relevance here. Read the court transcript. She said no, he continued. That’s rape. Also, while the victim has forgiven him, has he ever apologized?

  1. Had Polanski raped a 13 year old boy, people would be calling for his blood.
Also, some of these apologists want nothing but the worst for the Catholic priests that did the same thing, but are giving Polanski a free pass.

  2. Polanski’s artistic and film-making abilities suck. I can’t think of a single film he made I would pay to see. Indeed, a time or two I’ve walked out of the room.

A number of years ago my “ex” let a couple of her boyfriends molest our daughter. The first one got a way with it – sort of. Did you know you can smash the headlights out of a 1971 Chevy pickup with a human forehead?

They kept the other one in jail. There is something to be said about have a reputation.
