Some of the windiest land is Kansas ranch land and those folks started putting in turbines – great way to keep the ranch running in a bad year. And the turbine guys are nicer to deal with and don’t trash the land like the oil and gas lease folks.

It wouldn’t take many turbines to support a family at $12K a pop. (Two would do it for us!) After that, it’s gravy.
How much is the rated power of this turbine? If it is a 10kw wind turbine. This income is very high. The ROI is 3-4 years. This is a very efficient payback time.
