House passes landmark wind energy R&D bill

It authorizes $200 million in R&D for five years and passed on a voice vote with bipartisan support. So, sounds like it’ll pass the Senate too. Excellent.

[The bill will] carry out a program of research and development to improve the energy efficiency, reliability, and capacity of wind turbines; optimize the design and adaptability of wind energy systems; and reduce the cost of construction, generation, and maintenance of wind energy systems.
