The California tax revolt cometh

angry mob

An angry mob of thousands converged on an Orange County parking lot in southern California on a recent Saturday morning for an anti-tax protest, stunning even the organizers with the size of the turnout. It was just one in a series of public demonstrations that have cropped up around the state.

The May 19 California special election has six mostly weasel-worded propositions that, among other things, want to “borrow” money earmarked for children’s health, mental health and education and raise taxes.

Prop 1A especially must pass for the current budget to work. I’m guessing California voters are in such a foul mood that all the propositions will be defeated.
