Stewart Parnell, owner of Peanut Corp. of America, told workers to ship peanuts tainted with salmonella because he was worried about losing money, according to email records.

[Rep.] Stupak says he wants know how Peanut Corp. managed to sell allegedly tainted goods month after month without triggering action by state and federal health authorities.

So do all of us. And I am beyond tired of the greedy garbage that inhabits high places in this country.

  1. Eight people are dead. In a truly just society, the perpetrator would at least spend its life imprisoned. At taxpayer expense, of course.

Rope, lamp-post… solution. Only takes one or two to set an example.

  2. Rightfully so … China has had the same kind of problem … they expend a single bullet to the back of the criminal’s head, then charge the family for the cost of the cartridge. I don’t think we should follow their lead, not because we are less vindictive or more kind, but because dragging these sub-humans out of their cells every few months and parading them during the Macy’s or Rose Parade might cause other would be capitalists to make and keep some New Year’s resolutions such as doing an honest day of work for an honest day of pay.

  3. “Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted. ”

That would be the Eighth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. No lynch mobs or prisoner parades, please.

  4. We spend our lives fighting brutal authoritarian states and then when things go wrong we want to start the killing. All rational and justified of course, after all we are the developed Christian West. We wouldn’t do it like them, in a cruel and vindictive manner now would we.
