Cardinal Mahony of Los Angeles is under federal investigation for fraud concerning pedophile priests.
I lived in Los Angeles then and watched Mahony lie, evade, slime pedophile victims, stonewall, and do everything he could to avoid having the Catholic Church accept any responsibility for their pedophile priests.
The probe, in which U.S. Atty. Thomas P. O’Brien is personally involved, is aimed at determining whether Mahony, and possibly other church leaders, committed fraud by failing to adequately deal with priests accused of sexually abusing children

He’s left a wide swath of destruction, I hope it brings some sort of closure for those whose lives he’s attempted to destroy.
Not only is Cardinal Mahoney under investigation by the feds, the very origins of the church are coming under question by a new interpretation of the Resurrection that could leave 2000 years of religious tradition staring into the abyss.

The NVDA aspect of Jesus is profound and inspiring, but I don’t see it as new. John Howard Yoder taught a similar interpretation some 25 years ago, and he wasn’t the first.
I hope you realise that according to the John Jay Criminal College, 80% of the abuse in the Catholic Church were that of homosexul rape of boys between the ages of 10 to 17- mainly TEENAGE MALES.
The problem in the Church is one of homosexual molestation of children who are POST pubescent. It is not one of paedophilia. More reason for the Church to be opposed to same sex marriage…
