Biomass could supply world power and fuel

Two German professors suggest that biomass could produce all the energy and fuel for the planet if fast-growing trees were planted on degraded land not used for food production. Thus, we would have sufficient fuel and electricity from biomass without it interfering with food production and, they say, it can be done sustainably and economically.
